Hello,

motivation-4330453_1920

We hope that you and yours are all safe and well. Today we’re going to look at a very simple way to help organisations that do good work – talk about them!

Since March this year, many charities and non-profit companies have suffered a huge loss of income because of the pandemic, so now is the perfect time to encourage more people to support them. Simply recommending them to our family and friends can be a really effective way to help to promote ethical producers, good causes, individuals or companies that are doing great work. In fact, recent studies show that 85% of small businesses are discovered by customers as a result of word of mouth recommendations, and people are four times more likely to buy from a business if they hear about it from a friend.

As well as mentioning organisations to other people, there are other effective ways to pass the word around:

– follow them on social media and share their posts

– put up leaflets or posters in your community

Tip:
Many charities have printable publicity or social media templates on their website which you can download and use

– wear their message on t-shirts, sweatshirts and tote bags, a double-win for the organisations who’ll benefit from the profits from your purchases, too

Do you have a favourite charity or organisation you like to tell people about? Let us know in the comments below, we’d love to hear about them.

See you next time,

Claire and Sam
